I am an undergraduate at Xi’an Jiaotong University working on artificial intelligence. My interests include AI infrastructure, multimodal learning, and weakly supervised learning.
In research, I focus on improving models’ general capabilities. I agree with the philosophy behind The Bitter Lesson and see data, infrastructure, and compute as the foundations of model capability. I put more trust in high-quality data and efficient AI infrastructure than in intricate algorithm designs. I also use large models to make my research more efficient, while keeping the thinking my own: a deep understanding of the problem is essential to judging, guiding, and making good use of a model’s capabilities.
Outside research, I am an introvert who enjoys staying at home. I like sleeping, trying out interesting little gadgets, and spending time in the sun at a park. I enjoy organizing my thoughts and sharing experiences. This blog records my growth, learning methods, and reflections, and gives me a place to exchange ideas with others on a similar path.
